Jobr (operated by Jobr App LLC) includes an optional AI assistant that can answer questions about your household, properties, and finances. This policy explains how the assistant works, what data is involved, and the choices you have. The AI assistant is off by default — it is used only if you turn it on.
The Jobr AI assistant is powered by DeepSeek (https://deepseek.com), an AI company based in Hangzhou, China. DeepSeek provides the large language models that generate the assistant's responses; Jobr App LLC does not own or operate those models.
When you send a message to the assistant, Jobr builds a context and sends it to DeepSeek so a response can be generated. That context can include: the text of your message; the names of your properties and of your expense and income categories; both aggregated and individual financial figures, including the amounts and descriptions of recent transactions; and the titles of your tasks and calendar events along with staff names. In other words, the assistant does not send only high-level summaries — individual transaction details and names may be included so it can give a useful answer.
The data sent to DeepSeek is processed on servers located in China. Once that data leaves Jobr's systems, we do not control how long DeepSeek retains it or how it is processed afterward. DeepSeek's handling of the data is governed by its own privacy policy, which you can read at https://cdn.deepseek.com/policies/en-US/deepseek-privacy-policy.html. We encourage you to review it before enabling the assistant.
AI-generated responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. The assistant is a convenience feature, not a substitute for your own judgment or for a qualified professional. Always verify important information against your own records before relying on or acting on it.
Using the AI assistant is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent. No data is sent to DeepSeek unless you have first opted in. You can withdraw your consent and disable the assistant at any time from the app's Settings; once disabled, Jobr stops sending any data to DeepSeek.
Communication between the app and the Jobr backend, and between the Jobr backend and DeepSeek, is encrypted in transit using TLS. The DeepSeek API key used for these requests is held only on Jobr's servers and is never stored on or exposed to your device.
